What is Nanotechnology
The science of materials at the nanoscale

Nanotechnology is the science, engineering, and technology conducted at the nanoscale, between 1 and 100 nanometers. A nanometer is one billionth of a meter: about 100,000 times smaller than the diameter of a human hair.
At this scale, materials exhibit physical, chemical, and biological properties fundamentally different from those at the macroscopic scale. These unique properties enable the development of products with revolutionary performance.
In the field of thermal insulation, nanotechnology enables the creation of materials with extremely low thermal conductivity, drastically reducing the thicknesses needed to achieve the same performance as conventional materials.
