The images on the left show the building conditions before the installation: he walls had to be stripped due to material detachment while the imposts with fair faced bricks needed to be handled with care. On the right, we can see the final result after the application of nanotechnological thermal insulation products: Econanosil Eco2, thanks to its leveling properties, on walls and Econanosil Eco1 on bricks after effective stripping, cleaning and washing operations. Indeed, dust and dirt residues should be removed from surfaces before applying Eco 1 because otherwise they could no longer be properly removed. Quick operation with high levels of performance: complete aesthetic renovation is now joined by a considerable improvement of energy performance on masonry.

The following case shows again how our nanotechnological insulation product make restoring highly damaged and detached plaster – due to prolonged exposure to the elements (image on the left) – particularly efficient. In order to obtain a smooth surface, we opted to skim the walls by applying Econanosil Eco2. The rising damp on the base was blocked through the use of a suitable barrier in order to prevent water from pushing the newly applied skim coat, creating undesired bubbles and detachment. The work was completed (image on the right) with a customized plaster finish chosen from a range of over 300 colors.

Images relating to this case also show the portions of damaged plaster and detached paint which were removed, while preventing the formation of rising damp. (Image on the left).

Econanosil Eco2 was used to avoid the building of cracks at the same points, especially at the level of the stone lintels and on the edges of windows and French doors (major stress points for plaster).

Finally, particular attention was given to the shutters of the house. Econanosil Eco1 was then applied on the sides because Econanosil Eco2 could indeed hinder their closing due to resulting thickness.

Technicae Progressum

Excellence of the Year Innovation & Sustainability Thermal insulation

After putting all our efforts into energy insulation for Nanotechnologies, we came out with the Econanosil line, a range of innovative products aimed at increasing indoor comfort while protecting the environment. A nanometer is in fact a unit of measurement of length, corresponding to one billionth of a meter (equivalent to one millionth of a millimeter). For example, the average ant is about 5,000,000 nanometers in size and the diameter of a hair is around 100,000 nanometers.

What do we do

Energy insulation for Nanotechnologies

Nanotechnology deals with interventions on matter at the atomic and molecular level and on all types of techniques that operate on a scale lower than a micrometer.
